The main argument given by the opponents is that we are accustomed to the city of a certain height and any elevation is in conflict with these traditions.

At the project preparatory stage I studied it in quite a detailed manner and I am convinced that such a project is useful and needed. It is important for the city to have such mega structure as Gazprom investing money in the city’s budget.

I assume that the city is in need of Okhta Center. It will not only add a new appearance to Petersburg, it will also draw large financial investments to the city’s economy.

I was born in Petersburg, I stayed here during the Siege and I can not but consider myself a patriot of the city. Nevertheless to be proud of what was created in the 19th century and deny everything new seems to me slightly tenuous and even light hearted.

I think that it is quite an attractive project for Saint Petersburg from the point of view of infrastructure and socialization. The project implies plenty of public facilities for the citizens of the city. Furthermore this complex will be a tourist draw as well.

This project has so long been spoken about that it is difficult to imagine our city without this tower.

I do not understand at all what this hustle and bustle is about. Modern buildings can be built at the location of an ugly district. Not on Dvortsovaya Square, not on Nevsky avenue, at the location of a depreciated district instead. I have been there.

Okhta Center is a very attractive building.

I am a native Petersburg citizen and it is very important for me that the city is developing. I am strongly against the construction of anything in the historic center of the city and Okhta Center tower will be located not in the center.
